The world has run out of space. Society has addressed its consumption addiction not by slowing production, but by finding new means to dispose of the outmoded. ExEarth – a sprawling multi-national corporation – controls 80 percent of the world’s waste expulsion and has the monopoly on sending millions of tonnes of industrial and consumer junk into the Sun each year. But while checking a recently revealed trajectory error, a new planet is secretly discovered on the other side of the universe and a team is assembled to assess its resource viability.

The secrets of Cabal soon reveal themselves as unassuming geologist, Tim Berry finds the planet to be the accidental destination for 500 years of society's waste. He becomes the only survivor in a new world that has become an outpost for the obsolete. Trapped among the recollected miscellany from his previous world, Tim must forge a new affinity with his environment, finding the brunt of this pursuit to be his own will.

Cabal is like a Darwinian record of automated mutations whose programming has been set forth in infinite superfluous activity. It is a colony of remnants from a world where the obsession with technological advancement substitutes for genuine human progress.
